Grow Blueberries in Containers

Looking for a patio plant that provides delicious fruit and a beautiful look? Grow our Ka-Bluey Blueberry in a pot or planter, and you'll have an everbearing berry bush with lovely yellow and white flowers.

Just pot your Ka-Bluey Blueberry with an acidic potting soil mix and ash; try mixing potting soil with peat moss, or mix in a fertilizer that gently increases the acidity of the soil. Ka-Blueys grow into medium-sized bushes, so choose a large container such as a five-gallon pot or half-barrel. Plant your blushes in spring, water them regularly, and wait for delicious berries! Our Ka-Blueys provide berries as soon as the second season.

When temperatures dip in the fall, bring your blueberry plants into an unheated garage, barn or patio. Withhold fertilizer and water just enough to keep the soil slightly moist. In spring, when the danger of frost has passed, bring the containers outdoors once again and water thoroughly.
