Inferno Hybrid Sweet Corn Seed (sy)

Golden Start to Sweet Corn Season

  • Early synergistic variety
  • Ideal for canning, freezing, fresh eating
  • Very sweet flavor and tender-crisp texture
  • Slow sugar to starch conversion

Early-maturing, synergistic, yellow corn has an amazingly sweet, tender taste. Produces 16-18 rows of glossy, golden kernels that fill the 7½-8½ in. ears. The blunt-tipped ears are wrapped in handsome husks with long, attractive flag leaves. Delicious fresh, canned or frozen. Synergistic hybrids have a very high sugar content, tender-crisp texture and slow conversion of sugars to starches. When planting, isolate from super-sweet (sh2) and normal or high-sugar (su) hybrids. Seeds should be spaced 10-12 in. apart in rows 36 in. apart. For adequate pollination, plant corn seeds in blocks of at least four rows. Approx. 250 seeds per pkt. 73 DAYS.

All Gurney's sweet corn seed is treated.
