Comments: Striking colors and dependable garden performance have made the Boy marigolds an American classic. Dwarf (8-10 in.) plants are loaded with 1-1/2 in. blooms all summer. This Boy Marigold mix contains 64065-Orange Boy, 64069-Golden Boy, 64070 Harmony Boy (gold/red), 64067-Yellow Boy, and 64066 Spry Boy (yellow/red), with crested centers. The French marigolds have a longer blooming season than the African marigolds. They generally bloom from spring until frost. The French marigolds also hold up better in rainy weather. PLANTING: Sow seed as soon as the weather is warm and danger of frost is past. Seed can also be started indoors 6-8 weeks before transplanting. This variety prefers full sun and average soil. Plant seeds 1/4" deep and 2-3 inches apart in rows 12 inches apart. Germination should take place in 7-14 days. CARE: Water well during dry weather and mulch to reduce weeds. After seedlings grow 2 inches tall, thin so plants are 6-8 inches apart. Cut off faded flowers to encourage continued bloom.
