Note- A study done at Ohio State University found that orange tomatoes contain a type of lycopene that is more readily absorbed by the body than the lycopene in red tomatoes- although red tomatoes actually contain more lycopene, this study showed the level of lycopene absorbed after eating orange tomatoes was 2.5 times higher than red.
