Comments: good in zones 3-9, full sun, and deep, rich, well drained loam. Spacing is 10-12 inches between plants; 30-36' between rows. Plant 1-2 inches deep. Plant at time of the last spring frost. Corn can stand a light frost, but not a heavy one. Sh2 varieties need a soil temp of 60 degrees for planting. Corn is wind pollinated, so plantin several short rows rather than a long one.Fertilizer should be applied at planting.
