Produces enormous yields of fine-flavored, bright green spears. Tips stay tight for an extended harvest, even in heat. Dependably rust resistant. PP6624.
Note: Plants will ship in Spring.
All 50 of my plants did well this summer each with a nice grown pattern. I am concerned that many of my plant have beautiful red "berries" since I was ordering an all male hybrid.
Two are a little behind in height to the other 8 plants, but at this writing all 10 have made it thru a cold snap and sprouted.
I heard mixed things on 2 yr crowns. I purchased 10 of these crowns during the spring sale on here and I'm happy to say that all 10 of 10 have sprouted! I soaked these for about an hour in some of my pond water mixed with manure. They were planted 5/19 and started growing within about 2 weeks. 1 month later the 10th crown finally popped through. They are smaller, but a few were thick enough to break off and taste which is awesome considering they were just planted this year. I'm letting the rest grow out and will wait to harvest until next year.
