Exceptional production even in adverse conditions. Nutty flavor is excellent when used raw in salads or relish trays. Can be baked, broiled or fried as a tempting side dish. Highly nutritious, low in calories.
My husband and are thrilled with the Jerusalem Artichokes that we ordered. They grew very well and we had a plentiful harvest, no pest problems at all. We definitely will be planting these again!
Tasty tubers of the Jerusalem Artichoke have a nut taste when raw or boiled. Also prepare like mashed irish idaho potatoes for the exact same good taste & texture. The plants are tall lawn borders with ever bloom sunflower blossoms. Extract from ground edible tubers but allow some tubers to remain in the soil for next year. Red clay dirt is good enough. Sprinkle with a lime annually.
