A profusion of crimson-red, tubular blooms burst forth from June to September to adorn your sunny spaces. Deer and drought resistant, this is a native perennial that grows vigorously to 16-18 in. tall. Does best in full sun to part shade. Zones 4-9. Potted plants.

Comments: Great new perennial strain developed from a cross between a Mexican and a U.S. species. This compact growing pentemon is quite durable, has handled winter temperatures as low as -13 degrees F, and doesn't seem to suffer in the summer's heat and humidity. Because of its low maintainance and compact growth habit, it is a good choice for container gardening.
