Bicolor Butterfly Bush

Breathtaking Blend of Colors in Late Summer

Garden Talk
Listen to why this is Niles' favorite.
  • Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds
  • Blooms from late summer to fall
  • Good for cut-flower arrangements
  • Low-maintenance shrub
  • Deer tend to pass it by
Bicolor Butterfly Bush is the first variety to offer different colors on one panicle – a captivating mix of lavender, butterscotch-yellow and orange that wows garden visitors and attracts flocks and flocks of butterflies and hummingbirds! The tiny star-shaped blossoms bloom from late summer to fall and are the ideal size for pollinators to feed on the nectar. They're also delightfully fragrant and a great choice for cut-flower arrangements. The bush grows 6-8 ft. tall and provides a breathtaking backdrop for other perennials, shrubs and other flowering plants. Bicolor Butterfly Bush is deer resistant and will do best in full sun, at sites with well-drained, humus-enriched soil. Zones 5-9.
