Lilac Charles Jolly

Fragrant, Wine-Red Panicles

Lilacs are a must-have for the home garden—and the Charles Joly Lilac is a stunning choice. It produces 5-8 in., fragrant, double flower panicles in vivid wine-red shades in the spring. The flowers are favorites for cut-flower arrangements—and their aroma will perfume a room. Hummingbirds and butterflies love them. Lilacs are ideal for shrub borders, hedges, screens and cottage gardens—or plant near a patio or entrance where passersby can enjoy its fragrance on the spring breeze. Growing 12-15 ft. tall, this shrub performs best when planted in full sun. Deer tend to avoid. Potted. Zones 3-7.
