Zone: 3 - 8
Sun/Shade: Full sun to partial shade.
Spacing: 4 - 6 inches.
Depth: 8 inches deep and tilted slightly so the hole in the bulb does not fill with water.

Comments: Spikes 3-4 feet tall are crowned with bright colored, bell-shaped flowers in clusters. Plant in clumps, in a rich, well-drained sunny area. Deer and squirrel resistant. They are most effective in groups of three or more for 3 - 5 foot area. Needs winter protection. Remove flowers as they fade. Leave foliage intact until it dies back naturally. Feed with a 5-10-5 fertilizer in the fall and as growth emerges in the spring. The strong smell of the bulbs does repel moles and other burrowing animals but the customer should not rely on this alone.
