Compact "half-high" variety grows 20-24 in. tall. Dwarf Northblue bears 2-5 lbs of dusky blue berries that ripen in June. Large dark green leaves turn a fiery flame-red in fall.

These ornamental shrubs thrive almost anywhere is acid soil and, with proper care, will bear fruit for years. In alkaline soil, add aluminum sulphate for best results. Plant two different varieties for top yields. All blueberries are very high in antioxidants. Our two varieties, Healthy Rubel and Semi-Dwarf Northland have consistently tested even higher in antioxidants than many other varieties. These wonderful fruits are also high in vitamin C and low in calories – only 40 calories per ½ cup per serving!
