Kentucky Blue Pole Bean Seed

A sweeter-tasting, Kentucky Wonder type.

  • Combines traits of Kentucky Wonder and Blue Lake
  • Vigorous vines
  • Pods rarely develop strings
Kentucky Blue combines the traits of Kentucky Wonder and Blue Lake, two of the most popular beans for home gardeners. Its vigorous vines produce plenty of smooth, straight pods with the rich, old-fashioned Kentucky Wonder taste, only sweeter. The pods rarely develop strings, even at the mature stage. Kentucky Blue is a good bean for eating fresh, canning or freezing. Like other pole beans, Kentucky Blue requires a trellis or some type of support. If harvested regularly throughout the season, the vines will keep producing high yields of beans until frost. 63 DAYS.
