"I had an ugly spot in my yard. Planted the Castor beans, in no time at all these plants grew and hid the spot that had bothered me for years. So here I am ordering so more Castor Bean Seed. Many of My friends ask, ""What are those large plants, I would like to grow some."" Mine grew to about 12 to 15 feet. Deer did not eat these plants!!"

Awesome Plants

"Since we live in the Gulf Coast semi-tropical area, this wonderful plant - actually got to around 25 feet tall - overwintered through two winters. Last winter we had a suprise snow storm and although the leaves were frozen, it immediately put back on new growth. The only thing that harmed this ""tree"" was Hurricane Ike whose path came directly over us and it was too top-heavy and shallow rooted. After staking it up and tying guy wires to it, it came back in full force. This is a gorgeous, heat-resistant, sun-shading tree here in the Houston area!"

Unique plant

"I grew this last year and was very pleased with the results. On very poor and dry soil they grew to 12-15' tall and had purple-green stems and large serrated leaves. Several people asked me what the plants were. They certainly don't overwinter this far north. They are like sawing down a 1-2"" diameter tree when they die."
