Aurora Honeyberry

Aurora Honeyberry

One of the earliest spring fruits

Start fruit season early—Aurora Honeyberries mature in mid to late spring before strawberries are ripe. They're easy to grow and yield elongated blue fruit similar in size and flavor to wild blueberries. With their tender texture and firm skin, they're good for fresh eating and baking. Honeyberries thrive in partial shade in most areas, but in the far north honeyberries can enjoy full sun. Plant will blossom in early spring with small tubular, funnel-shaped white flowers. Allow fruits to turn blue throughout for best flavor. Netting the plants will protect your harvest from birds. Plant two varieties for pollination.
  • Zone 3-9
  • Height 4 - 8 feet.
  • Light Requirements Partial Shade. Likes partial shade in most regions except the far north, where it can enjoy full sun.
