Blue Damson Plum

Blue Damson Plum

Bear heavy crops of one of the most popular heirloom plum varieties in America! Blue Damson is an excellent fruit for home growing. Originating from Shropshire, England, it was introduced to America in the late 1800's. Round and oblong with smooth, shiny, dark purple-to-black skin and firm, amber flesh—this tasty fruit has a spicy, tart flavor. Juicy and delightfully tangy plums ripen in September and are widely used for culinary purposes. Perfect for fresh eating, cooking, jams, jelly, pruning or making wine! Self-fruitful, this vigorous and hardy deciduous tree requires 800 chill hours per winter. Zone 5-8.

Henry Field's Deluxe Fruit Trees include the following:
2 oz. Quick-Cal Pelletized Calcium, 12 oz. bag of Fruit Tree Food Starter Formula and a premium tree guard to protect the trunk from gnawing pests, weed trimmers and mowers.
