Product Details

  • Botanical Name: Malus domestica '4-10' PPAF
  • Height: Standard apple trees can grow 18 - 25 feet tall. Li'l Big trees will grow about 6 feet tall.
  • Spacing: 15 feet for standard, 6 - 8 feet for Li'l BIG.
  • Depth: The top of the Ellepot container should be even with the soil level.
  • Spread: 12 - 15 feet for a standard tree, 4 - 6 feet for Li'l Big.
  • Sun/Shade: Full Sun
  • Foliage: Green foliage.
  • Soil Requirements: Well-drained, enriched soil.
  • Growth Rate: Medium growth rate and vigor.
  • Pruning: Prune December to February. There are normally two goals when pruning an apple tree: 1. Initially on young trees to encourage a strong, solid framework 2. On mature trees to maintain shape and encourage fruit production. The best time to prune apple trees is in late Winter or very early Spring before any new growth starts.
  • Fruit: Striking, clear-golden skin, often blushed with bright pink. Extremely juicy with a crisp texture and tender skin.
  • Pollinator: Baker's Delight, Gold Rush, Sweet Sixteen.
  • Yield: Extraordinarily productive
