Good plants...Good Berries.. not very productive

We have about 15 of these (All were ordered as "Jumbo" size) after 4th year we are only getting a handful of berries on each plant... (low production could be our fault due to slightly less soil acidity but I doubt it at this point) Plants are doing very well growing and have gotten to a very nice size...(approx 4' at the tallest) the berries we have harvested are EXTREMELY good.. These are my "babies" so if the weather gets warm early with still a chance of frost, I cover each and every bush to protect it. Have not lost 1 plant yet and am in Central PA. (literally on the border of zone 6/7) Highly recommended (spend the extra $ and get the jumbo size to help jump start your patch) Added another 3 plants this year alone. I don't use the blueberry food from here, I usually get a widely used/available commercial acid loving fertilizer and they seem to love it!! Hoping production gets larger as the plants get older.

These plants are not drought tolerant! I lost 22 of 30 2 year old plant last summer. Did not have access to irrigation, assumed that after 2 winters the bushes would be hardy enough to live - I WAS WRONG!
