Oh My!™ Grape

Oh My!™ Grape

Introducing the first seedless muscadine!

Oh My! Seedless Grape will make you rethink your opinion of muscadines. One taste of these perfectly round, golden fruits is all you need to be impressed. The flavor is sweet, rich and aromatic. Best of all, you can enjoy them without having to spit out seeds or skins. Oh My! Is the first muscadine to reliably yield full-sized, seedless, bronze-colored fruits with tender skins. It's a high yielder, too—each vine produces 40+ pounds of fruit.
A breakthrough in breeding! Native to the Southeast United States, muscadines have long been treasured for their flavor and vigorous vines. Big seeds and tough skins have always been part of the muscadine package. Most people would simply spit them out—usually outdoors since it can be a messy process. Grape breeders have been attempting to develop seedless muscadines with easy-to-chew skins for a long time. And now, after a lifetime of work developing his U.S. patent-issued methods in North Carolina, renowned grape breeder Jeff Bloodworth has finally achieved this long-awaited breakthrough—a seedless, full-sized, think-skinned, deliciously sweet muscadine.
Fruits are full-size! Oh My! yields bronze-colored, 3/4-1 in. fruits in bunches. They ripen in early to mid-September in North Carolina—even earlier in more southern regions. Fruits can hold onto the vine beyond firm ripeness. They can even withstand rains without cracking. This feature is a big improvement and help for grape growers in the Southeast who usually deal with late summer and early fall rains.
Easy to cook with! Since Oh My! is seedless and thin-skinned, it's simple to use these flavorful grapes to make jellies, juices, whole berry preserves, grape hull pies and other traditional Southern recipes that have been favorites for many years.
Long lived! Muscadine grape vines are extremely long-lived. Some can live for 400 years or more! Plant a muscadine, like Oh My!, and you'll enjoy it for a lifetime—so will future generations.
Easy to grow! Muscadines are generally very easy to grow. Oh My! is no exception. It withstood 3 winters that saw temperatures drop near 0°F in our test vineyards. It also resists injury from late spring frost. When temperatures dropped to 23°F, its green tissue that had emerged did not freeze. And in common muscadine fashion, it can be successfully grown without the use of sprays for insects or disease, making it a perfect candidate for organic grape productions. U.S. Patent No. 9706726.
Use of this cultivar for breeding is prohibited. Plant propagation is prohibited. PPAF.
