Shinko Asian Pear

Shinko Asian Pear

Golden-bronze, Oriental pears have a deliciously rich flesh that's refreshingly crisp, sweet and juicy. Less pear-shaped than other varieties, this round fruit is medium large in size. Asian pears are often referred to as apple pears because of their round shape. Loaded with white blooms, Shinko ripens mid-August to September and stores well for 2-3 months. Excellent fire blight resistance allows this vigorous and productive tree to yield a generous harvest. Delicious when eaten fresh&mdashit also makes a great addition to desserts and salads. Zones 5-9.

Henry Field's Deluxe Fruit Trees include the following:
2 oz. Quick-Cal Pelletized Calcium, 12 oz. bag of Fruit Tree Food Starter Formula and a premium tree guard to protect the trunk from gnawing pests, weed trimmers and mowers.
