75 days. Vibrant red-orange peppers are the cook's choice for adding heat to recipes. Whether used fresh, dried or pickled, these 2-in. long beauties add a spicy kick to favorite foods. Up to five times hotter than jalapeños, but with less heat than habañeros.

Comments: Fruit are very flavorful with an intensely spicy kick. Very hot fresh or dried. Can be used in chili, sauce, salsa, hot pepper vinegar and wonderful for pickling. At 8,000- 22,000 Scovilles, Serranos are about 5 times hotter than jalapenos, but not as hot as habaneros. Heavy yielding plants.
