I planted some in 2007 & 2009. Takes about 5 yrs. to start producing. 2015 produced about 8 to 10 5 gallon buckets full each. has a sweet pear taste, and very juicy, feels like a rock to hold, but easy to bite into. Must be hand picked, even tho hard to the touch, will explode on contact when they fall to the ground. My favorite Asian pear. some getting 4 to 5 across. Had trouble with apheads, stink bugs and deer. Needs thinning.

I have four of these, here in Wichita Kansas, and they went through three summers in a row in which we had 50+ days in a row of 100+ degrees. The leaves on these trees did not even wilt, while on all othet trees the leaves just burned up and dropped off.
